Ph.D. in English Literature | Faculty at Bar-Ilan University
Dr. Noam Schiff specializes in English and Irish modernist literature. She earned her Ph.D. from Brandeis University in 2020 with a dissertation titled "Infernal Modernism: the Afterlife of Faith in Modern Irish Fiction."
Dr. Schiff is a faculty member in the Department of English Literature and Linguistics at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. Her research focuses on topics such as medieval literature, religious iconology, and the influence of medieval texts on modernist novels.
She has ongoing research projects on Dante and Modernism as well as Flann O'Brien and the Carnivalesque.
Dr. Schiff is currently pursuing an M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Bar-Ilan University. She is part of the Rassovsky Lab, where her research focuses on the relationship between physical fitness and the severity of negative symptoms in patients with schizophrenia.
